They apparently have been successful, because I was able to score a copy of Glory to Rome at GenCon this year – just before they announced that they were printing the Black Box edition with the nice components. Oh well.

I just did this, worked out pretty well, all expansions except Hinterlands, that includes the randomizer cards to use as a Black Market deck.
